Family and friends remember Edwina Farrell as a gentle, kind and much-loved woman whose life was woven through Tramore, from Moonvoy to Roselawn, and through the many friendships she carried from childhood into adult life. Deeply loved by her children Hayley and Alex, her partner James, her parents Chris and Tommy, her brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and her little furry companion Luna, Edwina leaves behind a circle of love that speaks to the person she was. One friend remembered her as “a lovely kind person” and recalled happy memories of GAA discos when they were young, while another held on to “great childhood memories” from Moonlaun, through school and into adult life.
Those who knew Edwina remembered her gentleness, humour and giving heart. A former teacher described her as “a really good student” and “a lovely girl all round in every way,” while neighbours in Roselawn remembered “an exceptional friend and neighbour” it had been their pleasure to know for many years. Another tribute captured her kindness beautifully, saying Edwina “would help anyone she knew needed help” and was “always giving.” These memories show a woman taken far too soon, but remembered with deep affection for her warmth, her quiet humour, her kindness and the love she gave so freely. May Hayley, Alex, James, Chris, Tommy and all the Farrell family find comfort in the many lives Edwina touched, the memories she leaves behind, and the love that will always keep her close.
Late of Roselawn, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Moonvoy, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Edwina passed peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday the 4th of July 2026. RIP.
