Samuel passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family

Friday the 19th of December 2025

RIP.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen (Flo), and his son Austin .

Samuel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken and beloved son, Thomas;  his adoring grandchildren Camilla and Sam; his sisters Joan and Eveleen all his nieces and nephews and all his grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Samuel will be fondly remembered by all his extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many many friends throughout the world.

The Driver family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in Medical 5 and The Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford for the exceptional care Samuel received throughout his time there.

May his gentle soul rest peacefully.

Samuel’s reposal will take place in at his residence in Coolgower Lodge, Tramore Road, X91X9T7 on Sunday the 28th of December from 2pm until 7pm.

All are welcome.

Samuel’s Remains will be laid out in The Friends Meeting House and Quakers in Newtown, Waterford City, on Monday the 29^th of December from 10:30am to 11:30am after which his  remains will travel for his Funeral Service in St. Michael’s Church Aghold Co. Carlow R93 HR90 at 2:15pm as per Samuel’s wishes his committal will take place at dusk at the Christ Church Cemetery, Tramore, Co. Waterford approximately 4:30pm.
