We are an independent Irish business. We are not owned by, operated by, or affiliated with any other death notice platform. Our services are unique, distinct, and lawfully operated under our own brand.
“You” refers to you as a user of the Services, whether as a guest, a registered member, a funeral director, a supplier, a charity, or any other role.

2. Our Services
RIP Ireland provides a digital platform that supports families and communities after a funeral. Our Services include:
• Memorial pages (“Walls”) created by families or through a funeral director’s subscription.
• Community features such as messages, candles, and photo sharing.
• Secure donation tools to funeral directors, charities, or other nominated parties.
• A marketplace for remembrance gifts and related services supplied by independent third parties.
• A dashboard and CRM-style tools for funeral directors under subscription.
We are a hosting platform only. We do not write death notices, moderate user content, or provide funeral director services. Content is created and moderated by users and wall owners.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
• You must be at least 16 years old to use this site, or have parental consent if under that age.
• Some features require registration. You agree to provide accurate details, maintain confidentiality of your login, and notify us immediately of any breach.
• Funeral directors and suppliers may be required to provide additional verification.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You must use the Services lawfully and respectfully. Prohibited activities include:
• Posting offensive, defamatory, unlawful, or misleading content.
• Copying or reproducing obituaries or content from other sites without rights or consent.
• Impersonating any person, business, or brand, including RIP Ireland or rip.ie.
• Misusing donation features, spamming, scraping, or introducing malware.
• Creating false or duplicate memorial walls.
Any breach may lead to removal of content, account suspension, or referral to authorities.
5. User Content and Moderation
• Content remains the responsibility of the user who posted it.
• By posting, you grant RIP Ireland a licence to display, adapt, and share the content in connection with our Services.
• Wall owners are the moderators of their own memorial pages. They are solely responsible for removing or approving comments and content.
• RIP Ireland does not pre-screen or moderate content. We are not liable for user-submitted material but may remove content that breaches law or these Terms.
6. Memorial Pages – Creation and Fees
• A wall may be created by a family, friend, or funeral director with consent.
• Duplicate walls are not permitted. If disputes arise, we may reassign ownership to immediate family.
• Fees: Funeral directors pay €49 per month for unlimited walls. Families may create an individual wall for €29.99 per year.
• Fees are non-refundable once paid, except as required by law.
7. Third-Party Services, Charities, and Donations
• Funeral directors, suppliers, and charities are independent businesses. RIP Ireland is not responsible for their acts or omissions.
• Donations are passed directly to the nominated party, less applicable processing fees. We are not trustees or financial intermediaries.
• We are not responsible for how recipients use donations once transferred.
• Suppliers are solely liable for fulfilling goods or services purchased.
8. Intellectual Property
• All rights in RIP Ireland’s website, logo, software, and design remain our property.
• You may not copy or scrape content without permission.
• Our trademarks must not be used without consent.
• We respect third-party IP rights and will act promptly on substantiated complaints.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
• RIP Ireland complies with the GDPR and Irish data protection law.
• We are a data controller for account data and a data processor where we act on behalf of funeral directors or charities.
• Data is only collected for defined purposes and shared securely with service providers as required.
• You must not post personal data of others without consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties
• The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of content, or performance of third-party services.
• Any reliance on user or third-party content is at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• RIP Ireland is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including emotional distress, reputational harm, or financial loss.
• Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the greater of €100 or the amount paid by you to us during that period.
• Nothing excludes liability for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RIP Ireland, its directors, officers, and staff against any claims, losses, or costs arising from:
• Content you post or fail to moderate.
• Breaches of these Terms.
• Transactions with third parties (funeral directors, suppliers, charities).
• Any misuse of the Services.
This obligation continues after your account or wall is closed.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or wall at any time for breach of these Terms, inactivity, or misuse. No refunds will be issued for termination due to breach.
14. General Provisions
• Governing Law: Ireland.
• Jurisdiction: Irish courts exclusively.
• Independence: RIP Ireland is operated by Remember in Peace Ireland, a fully independent business. We are not linked to rip.ie or any other platform.
• Force Majeure: We are not liable for events beyond our control.
• Amendments: We may update these Terms; continued use constitutes acceptance.
