Formerly of Marian Terrace, Tramore, Co. Waterford.

Jim passed peacefully in Tramore Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.

Sunday the 12th of January 2025 RIP.

 

Predeceased by his beloved parents James and Mary, his brother Donal and his treasured son Alan.

Jim will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Margaret, his loving children Tara, Karen, Gary, Raymond and David; his adoring grandchildren Kerry, Lewis, Kaden, Korah, Luke, Rhian, Sian, Caoimhe, Rhys, Kai and Cruz; his son-law Hernán, daughter-in-law Neilam and all his sisters and brothers June, Mary, Ann, Angela, Breda, Nuala, Robin, Paul, Kevin, Gerry and Seán. He will be forever missed by all his nieces and nephews, many in laws on both sides all his extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

The Whelan family would like to thank, with great appreciation all the staff in Tramore Nursing Home and especially the medical professionals who helped and treated Jim with such dignity in his final hours.

May his gentle soul rest in peace

Jim will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Thursady the 16th of January from 5pm to 7pm

Jim’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday the 17th of January, at 10am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after Jim will be laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery. Anyone wishing to take part in Jim’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link below

Jim’s funeral cortège will pass the entrance to Beachmount en-route and the entrance at the top of Marian Terrace and will walk from Lodges Corner/Tramore Credit Union at approximately 9:40am to arrive for his Requiem Mass at 10am.
